Drew Bauer invite is coming!! Here's a story of Drew from Dick Bauer his proud poppa.
----
"Drew and his brother Rob moved with us when I was transferred from Honolulu to Miami. Drew had been the captain of his high school WP team in Honolulu at Punahou and loved the sport. When we arrived in Miami - the boys were accepted to a private Jesuit HS there but chose not to attend; from (shorts, aloha shirts & flip flops) to dress shoes, slacks, white shirts and ties but, to go to Miami Springs public HS. Were had rented a place at Doral while our home was to be built.
Our intention was to build on our lot at Doral but I couldn't take that long and we belatedly purchased a home in Old Cutler Bay. This meant the boys had a long commute daily to Miami Springs. (Small community by Miami International Airport)
Miami Springs did not have a waterpolo team. Drew went to the swim coach, Chris Sallers, and talked him into sponsoring a waterpolo team. Chris said he would do so if Drew would swim on Chris' swimming team. That meant that Drew was on both teams and he "forced" his brother Rob to be goalie on the WP team along with playing nosed guard and defensive center on the Miami Springs football team. Drew also played in the junior nationals his senior year.
That is how much Drew loved waterpolo.
Proud father of Drew and Rob Bauer"
